Benjer - Apple
(Post theme: “More!” by Nxdia)
Last time: Wests Mango & Orange, this time: Benjer Apple.
275mL glass bottle. Ordered online - I haven’t seen them anywhere else.
A perfectly decent apple juice, but like most apple juices a bit dull - there’s a reason apple juice is the cheap juice that gets blended in with all the others.
What I do appreciate is that Benjer tell you the variety: Cox’s Orange. It’s on the product page, and in small print on the bottle too. I’m forever wishing juices would specify the type of apple, even if it’s a combination, so it’s lovely to find one that does - I only wish it was more prominent, because it’s a genuinely interesting detail and not a fine-print one. It also explains why this is so clear rather than the cloudy style I’m more used to.
And yes, a Cox’s Orange is an apple, not an orange, go figure. The full name is Cox’s Orange Pippin, and the “Orange” is apparently the reddish-orange flush on the skin. An apple juice made from oranges would be a much stranger review ;).
I’d have this again, but generally wouldn’t reach for an apple juice.
