Last time: Foxton Fizz, Orange, this time: ‘73 Citrus, Ruby Red Grapefruit.

330mL can, from New World, I’m fairly sure.

I’ve never been a huge fan of grapefruit, although I do like it in small doses in juice form. This is exactly what you’d expect from the name: grapefruit, but with fizz. No surprises, no twist, nothing hiding behind it.

The trouble is the quantity. A 100mL taste of this would be great - bright, bitter, properly grapefruit-y. A whole 330mL can is just too much grapefruit for me, and by the end I was working through it rather than enjoying it.

Nothing wrong with the drink as such. It’s doing precisely what it set out to do; I’m just not the person it’s doing it for. I see they do an orange; I have never seen it on a shelf, but it would be interesting based on this.
